Notes for your Appointment
- First Visits will include a brief Health History Intake form. This is for your safety and is completely confidential. Our scheduling system will send you an online intake form with waiver. Please take a moment to complete the form. (This system is HIPAA compliant) We will go over the information together at your first appointment. This will allow me to better prepare for your visit.
- It is important to note that some medical conditions are contraindicated to massage such as; certain types of cancer, phlebitis, some cardiac problems, some skin conditions, and infectious diseases to name a few. If in doubt please consult your physician. Physician forms are available under the Client Forms Tab. In order to save yourself time you may print these forms at home to fill out at your convenience and bring them with you to your appointment.
- If you have cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms, please reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.
- Discuss all of your focal points, concerns and goals for the massage with your therapist. You can use the Body Map for clients form to assist you if you like.
- It is recommended that you remove all jewelry and contact lenses for your massage.
- You may wish to enjoy a relaxing bubble bath or shower at home prior to your massage.
- Please avoid smoking 2 hours prior to and after your massage if possible.
- During your massage you will be draped with a sheet at all times. Your therapist will uncover your arms, legs, and back only while they are working in that area. Approximately halfway through your massage you will be asked to turn over. You will remain draped during this process.
- This is your time to relax and escape. Please turn off your cell phone. During your service if you like chatting, we'll chat. But if you prefer to relax in silence, Please feel comfortable in doing so.
- After a massage you should relax and avoid strenuous activities. Also, drink plenty of water to maintain a healthy level of hydration.
